SUMMARY: Dosh Cash Back App – is a mobile app created to help you get the most out of your money when you shop. In this review, you’ll learn how it works.
Welcome to Dosh App Review!
If you like to make money using free methods, then Dosh App may be for you.
Nope, it not like Swagbucks, or Paid Viewpoint, where you have to answer surveys.
Instead, it is an app that works in the background for you as you shop, as long as you set it up properly.
Today, in this review, I will go over the Dosh App and then you can decide if it is something for you.
What Is Dash App?
The Dosh App is a mobile app that helps you earn cash back whenever you shop at participating stores. The best part is, unlike most mobile apps, where you must scan a receipt to prove that you purchased something.
Well, with Dosh you can skip all the headache. Therefore, you won’t have to scan a receipt.
Here is what you need to do. Link a debit or credit card to your Dosh App account, and from there the app works when you make qualifying purchases.
By the way, Dosh App is owned and operated by Ryan Wuerch, who also was the owner of a company of Solavei.
Is Dosh App Legit and Safe?
Since you have to connect a debit or credit to the account, it is understandable to wonder if this app is legit or even safe. I am here to ensure that the app is legit and reliable.
Either way, the Dosh App is an encrypted site, meaning your information is protected. Furthermore, they do not store any banking or credit card information. They also do not use or sell any of your data.
By the way, all banking information is tokenized with a service called Banktree. It’s one of PayPal services, and if you have ever used PayPal before, we all know that PayPal backs their services wholeheartedly.
Furthermore, the Dosh App now allows you to connect your account using Venmo, which is another PayPal service.
Anyhow, if you have any of the following credit cards or bank accounts, you can connect your card using:
- Chase
- Wells Fargo
- Bank Of America
- Capital One
- Navy Federal
- PNC
- American Express
- USAA
- PayPal ( To link a PayPal account you need to have received cashback of $25.00 first)
- BBVA Compass
- USbank
- Regions
- TD Bank
- SunTrust
- BB&T
- Citizens Bank
- Barclaycard
- State Street and Bank Company
Either way, if you don’t see your bank account listed.
Dosh App claims to allow you to search their database of thousands of other banking options, along with credit unions.
However, I noticed that when I added a bank card that wasn’t on the list, it wasn’t recognized as a credit. Therefore, I was not able to add a few cards that weren’t on the list.
So, with that said, if you can’t link your card to the dosh app, there are many reasons that you need to consider, and who can explain it better than Dosh App support.
Warning: Prepaid cards are not accepted at this time.
How To Use The Dosh App?
Using the Dosh App is simple.
It’s almost like a set it and forget it type of deal.
Once you have the account set up correctly. The app works for you when you shop at participating places.
In other words, you do not have to do any heavy lifting. Therefore, you’ll carry on with your usual purchasing habits.
If you live in a big city, you’ll notice more offers than someone in a small town.
Either way, your local offers will be tailored to your area.
Whenever a participating business in your area has partnered with the Dosh cash back program, you can earn cash back from that location.
All you do is visit the merchant and use their correct address. Pay with your linked Dosh card. Make a purchase swiping as credit, and you’ll receive cash back. Keep your receipt safe until you have verified that the credit has been applied to your Dosh account.
How Does Dosh App Work?
Dosh App has a two-step authentication process put in place to ensure that you are fully protected from unauthorized access.
Here is what you need to do for the app to work.
Step 1: Download the Dosh App from the “Google Play Store or AppStore“.
Step 2: Verify your cell phone number, and a code will be texted to you. Enter the code on the Dosh App and then fill out your personal information.
Make sure the information is correct because, if you earn more than $600 a 1099 form will be sent to you during tax time.
Furthermore, if you enter incorrect information, your credit or debit cards will not link properly.
Step 3: Add the bank card that you want to link to your Dosh account by clicking “Wallet“, which is located at the bottom of the app. Then in the upper right-hand corner, click on “Add Card.”
You’ll be walked through the steps to connect your desired bank card by logging into your bank account with your correct credentials. Worry none. Your bank will text you a code.
Once you enter that code, then you’ll be asked to enter your credit or debit card number, expiration date, CVV, and Zip code. Again make sure everything is correct.
After that, you’ll see a message advising you that the Dosh App will not help you earn cash back unless you swipe your card as a credit. So, every time you use the card that is connected to your Dosh account swipe it as a credit, or you will not earn cash back.
Warning: Any card not connected to the Dosh App will not earn cash back.

Dosh App Complaints
According the BBB Dosh App has an excellent rating with them. I couldn’t find any complaints there. So, with that said the complaints that I’ve come across are as follows.
#1. Not all credit cards are accepted on the Dosh App.
The problem with this you won’t know if that your credit isn’t accepted until you have spent a few minutes trying to add the card. On the other hand, it’s free so, the best part nothing was lost but, time.
#2. The App Takes A Few Minutes To Get Use To
If you don’t use many mobile apps, then Dosh App could take a few minutes for you to learn how to navigate through the app. Worry none though, because, it’s not very difficult to use.
#3. You Must Spend Money
By using this app, you could get addicted to spending more than you would normally. Keep in mind you should still spend wisely and not over spend, just to gain a few dollars. I would suggest you to carry on with your purchasing habits as you usually would.
My Final Opinion Of Dosh Cash Back App
The bottom line is Dosh App is a mobile app that comes in handy. Especially if you find yourself, spending or swiping your cards all the time.
I would rather swipe my card and have the potential of receiving something back in return, instead of swiping my card and receive nothing. Not to mention, it’s an easy way to earn some cash.
It won’t make you wealthy, but it can help out. Either way, Dosh App is legit and safe to use.
