Well, you’re in luck because, with the Sweatcoin App, you can earn coins and exchange them for different products on the Sweatcoin Marketplace.

I’ll admit that when I first came across this app, I was very skeptical. Certainly, an app will not pay you to walk, run or be active?

Anyhow, today, I wanted to go over this SweatCoin app. You’ll learn how it doesn’t work, how you can earn Sweatcoins, and what you can buy with your Sweatcoins.

I want you to be able to make a more informed decision on if this is an excellent option for you to earn an extra income.

Sweatcoin Is A Free Mobile App

What Is Sweatcoin App?

As mentioned earlier Sweatcoin is a mobile app that pays you to move your body. In other words, you need to stay active to get paid, while keeping your mobile device attached to you.

The Sweatcoin app can be downloaded on either Android or iPhone mobile devices. Regardless, the app is free, and once you have the app downloaded, Sweatcoin will begin tracking and verifying your steps, by using your phones accelerometers and GPS location.

Furthermore, any steps that you take outdoors are then converted into their currency which is called Sweatcoins. When you download the Sweatcoin app, you’ll notice an “S” symbol, which represents the current currency “Sweatcoins”.

How Does Sweatcoin Not Work?

Typically, it would be best to explain how a product works. Well, today, I am going to try something different. Let me explain to you how Sweatcoin doesn’t work.

Above all, this could benefit you, if you decided to download this app. So, keep reading!

7 things that Sweatcoin Cannot Do

#1. – It Can’t Calculate Your Indoor Steps

Nevertheless, you probably noticed earlier I mentioned that the Sweatcoin app could only track actions that are taken outdoors.

Indeed it’s true, the steps that Sweatcoin can calculate works by verifying your outdoor steps only. The reason being is Sweatcoin system can only convert your outdoor steps by using your mobile’s GPS.

Therefore, any steps that are taken indoors, such as cleaning your home, walking or running after children, walking on the treadmill, or even climbing your home stairs, none of this is counted or converted into steps.

Furthermore, you will not earn credits for these steps.

I can testify that SweatCoin will not convert your indoor steps into their currency. Also, if they do, it will result in very very little coins. I’ve been using this app since 2015, and so far, I’ve only made $74 and some change, since then.

You’re probably thinking, well, maybe I’m just not active. No trust me; I am very active. The problem is, I have been a stay at home mother for years. I’ve also was a home school teacher.

So, I didn’t have to leave the house often. For most of my time, I have been indoors.

With this being said, if you’re indoors a lot, you may not convert to many coins often. Regardless, according to the SweatCoin website, the developers are currently working on trying to improve this app so, that you do receive credit.

However, it won’t be done anytime soon. Anyhow, for now, your indoor steps won’t count.

#2. – You Must Have Your Phone Attached To You At All Times

Here is another problem, if you don’t have your phone attached to you at all times, while you’re moving around and being active then, SweatCoin can’t calculate any of your steps.

If you’re anything like me, I tend to forget my phone all over the place, so, I can attest that SweatCoin won’t work if you don’t have your device.

#3. – Riding A Bike Is Iffy

If you expect to earn SweatCoins while riding a bike. You’re taking a risk; it has been reported that keeping your phone in your pocket can be useful, while others said it didn’t work.

Sweatcoin May Not Work While Bike Riding

#4. – Can’t Transfer Or Cashout

SweatCoins can only be spent in the marketplace. Your SweatCoins cannot be transferred to a bank account or PayPal account.

Although I’ve been using this app since, 2015, I have never exchanged my Sweatcoins. Every time, I try to cash them out, mysteriously, I never have enough to spend in the Marketplace.

I’ve recently learned that the marketplace products, pricing fluctuates due to demand.

#5. – Sweatcoin Has No Worth

According to Sweatcoin three things that you must factor into place for a currency to have worth.

  • Keep value over time
  • Ability to exchange for goods or products.
  • It can be used for accounting purposes.

Well, SweatCoin has admitted that they don’t meet all three of those factors so, to wrap it up 1 SweatCoin is not worth $1.00, at least not for now. Furthermore, Sweatcoin isn’t considered real money. At least not yet.

#6. – Not Cryptocurrency

I’ve seen many reviews where it states that Sweatcoin is a cryptocurrency, well, it’s not. There is no blockchain, so currently Sweatcoin isn’t considered cryptocurrency. Here you can read it for yourself.

#7. – Some Offers Require Your Credit Card

Not all offers on the marketplace can be purchased with your Sweatcoins. Some offers do require a credit card to process the order.

Is SweatCoin A Scam?

No, Sweatcoin isn’t a scam.

I do earn Sweatcoins daily, but, like I stated earlier the Sweatcoin works the best outdoors. Not only, does it work best outdoors, but it also works well, if you carry your cell phone around all the time, which I don’t do.

How Does It Work?

By now, you probably have an idea of how this app works. The disappointment that I have with Sweatcoin is that it works by calculating your steps by using your phones GPS, which is nothing wrong with that.

However, in my opinion, there is a downside. It can’t calculate all the steps you take while you’re in the house, the mall, at the gym, or anywhere indoors. About 65% of your total steps are verified through Sweatcoin algorithm.

Why does it work this way? Because Sweatcoin wants to make sure you’re not trying to cheat the system. So the Sweatcoin algorithm was put in place to ensure you’re actually sweating and putting in hard work, to earn the Sweatcoins.

How Can You Earn With Sweatcoin?

After 1,000 steps are verified, they are converted into 1 Sweatcoin, and because, this app is free. Sweatcoin still has to keep the lights on and the doors open. They will deduct a 5% commission from your balance.

Here are some ways that you can earn with Sweatcoin.

Try out their marathon offers. Marathons, are a long term goal, this nothing that can be obtained right away. Furthermore, I have no idea what you can earn in total with the marathon because Sweatcoin doesn’t disclose the amount.

However, with the marathon offers, Sweatcoins wants you to walk 20k + outdoors only and invite other people to the platform, which will help you earn 5 Sweatcoins for each new member.

Daily rewards can be earned by just watching ads within the marketplace. This will earn you 1 Sweatcoin.

There are also 4 different membership levels.

I am a mover which is a free membership. Anyone who joins Sweatcoin will become a “Mover” by default. A Mover can only earn up to 5 Sweatcoins per day.

Level 1- Mover – every new member joins for free, becomes a Mover by default and can earn up to 5 Sweatcoins per day.

Level 2 – Shaker – with this membership level you can earn up to 300 Sweatcoins per month. It will cost a total of 4.75 Sweatcoins per month.

Level 3 – Quaker allows you to earn up to 450 Sweatcoins, with a Sweatcoin payment of 20 Sweatcoins per month.

Level 4- Breaker – allows you to earn up to 600 Sweatcoins, with a payment of 30 Sweatcoins per month

What Is SweatCoin App

What Can You buy With Sweatcoins?

Well, like I mentioned earlier, I’ve had this app for years now, and I have never exchanged my Sweatcoins. However, when I do visit the marketplace, I see options of purchasing gift cards, fitness products, and many other products. The products, do vary and they are always changing.

My final Opinion Of The SweatCoin App

The bottom line is that, this app isn’t a scam. Plus it’s free to download. Will it make you a lot of money?

No, it wasn’t designed to make you rich or even a part-time income. This app was designed with the hopes of making people happier, fitter, and healthier.

So, the idea behind the app is a great idea. It’s meant to help you become healthier. So, Sweatcoin is an app that I would recommend if your desires are to become happier, healthier, or fitter.

Besides, although I have never earned enough to cash out my Sweatcoins it is still fun to see how many coins I’ve collected.

If you were looking to make a full-time income, no I wouldn’t recommend this. It will not come close to helping you get there.

I hope this review has helped you understand the Sweatcoin app more.
