My Online Startup Review – Is It A Scam Or Legit?

Welcome to My Online Startup Review!

I recently came across this free course. At first, I thought it would be great to join.

So, I took it for a test drive, and completed the entire course.  

I must admit that I was impressed with all the value that the free course has to offer.

In this review you’ll learn how the course works. If it’s a scam, and my final opinion. Please do read this entire review, if you’re considering this opportunity.

I actually upgraded to the My Online Startup Inner Circle (the mentorship program).

SUMMARY: My Online Startup is a 100% free affiliate marketing training course that will teach a complete beginner with no previous knowledge of how to build your very own sustainable and profitable online business as an affiliate marketer.

Do I Recommend My Online Startup? Yes and no! 

After taking the course myself, I do recommend the free course only. Especially, if you don’t understand how affiliate marketing works.

It’ll help you get started in the right direction, and quite frankly the free training that Chuck provided was pretty darn valuable.

In addition to this, the free training that​’s offered wasn’t cut short. You’ll get a great understanding of how to start an online business​, which have to applaud MOS for doing.

My Online Startup is a 100% free affiliate marketing training course that provides you with 50 free high quality training videos.

​They were created by a long-time successful marketer named Chuck Nguyen.

In his course, Chuck is teaching all beginners from any walk of life, “how to build a sustainable business online.”

That’s right, even without prior experience or a social media following My Online Startup, (MOS) course is here to lead you in the right direction to success.

Or at least that’s what they claim.

As long as you’re willing to apply the techniques taught in the training course, you’re supposed to be placed on the right path.

Above all, the training is done in a step by step fashion, which I think is beneficial for a beginner. Your first lesson begins with “How To Get Started.”

By the way, most training courses don’t start with a complete beginner in mind.

Instead, they begin with an intermediate or advanced marketer in mind.

Therefore, most newbies who join these types of programs usually end up lost, dazed and confused. It’s sort of like a marketing loophole.

In the end, they think making money online is impossible.

Anyhow, My Online Startup is, in my opinion, ​a good beginner-friendly training course.

However, there are a few things that I don’t agree with.

I’ll go over them shortly.​

How Does My Online Startup Work?

Well, the training works simple.

First, you take action by becoming a free member.

Chuck guides you step by step on what to do when and where.

He briefly covers things such as creating a game plan to creating your own products.

He’ll discuss how to become successful at promoting affiliate products. Such as Clickbank products, and many more.

Therefore, with this program, you’ll need a Clickbank account. It’s free to join. 

Beyond that!

You’ll have the chance to share the training program, even as a free member, which make sense that’s part of what we call affiliate marketing.

Note: You don’t have to share your link with anyone if you choose not too. But, you could, it’s all up to you.

So here is what you’ll do to take a peep at this training:

Step 1: Create A Free Account

first and foremost, you’ll need a Gmail account. After you’ve created a free account with My Online Startup. Click and confirm the email.

By the way, it could take up to 15 minutes for your confirmation email to arrive.

If you don’t receive a confirmation email within 15 minutes, please check all of your email folders, to include spam, promo, and your inbox.

Step 2: Get Immediate Training Access

After everything is confirmed, you’ll have immediate access to all of your free training on “How To Build A Sustainable Online Business In 2019.”

Why affiliate marketing? I’ll explain that shortly.

Step 3: Start The Training Videos

It’s essential to go through your lessons in a step by step order, without skipping a beat. If you skip around, you could miss the necessary steps.

The training videos are supposedly carefully engineered to take a complete beginner from no knowledge to building a successful online business.

However, I must be honest hear.

This free training course alone Will Not make you successful online.

Here’s What The FREE Course Has To Offer

With approximately 11 hours and 15 minutes of free training. I can say that Chuck did provide tons of value.

Get Started Training

Getting started is where Chuck gives you about a 21:15 minutes long introduction of what you can expect.

Step 1: The Game Plan

• 36 minutes of training (1 video)

This is basically where Chuck shares that Affiliate Marketing is the best way to start an online business. I agree with him on that.

Step 2: Success Mindset

• Almost 3 hours of training which includes (7 video’s)

During the success mindset training, Chuck does an excellent job in getting you ready for your online journey. Many marketers charge thousands just for this piece of information. There’s also many programs that don’t even half touch on this subject.

Step 3: Affiliate Marketing

• 1 hour of Training (5 video’s)

These training modules go over the fundamentals of Affiliate marketing. They’ll also show you what profitable niches you can dabble into.

Step 4: Lead Generation

• Approx. (6 video’s) with about 2 hours and 11 minutes of valuable training.

This training will teach you how to capture leads, creating capture pages, and setting up follow up emails with an autoresponder.

Step 5: Authority Platform

• 7 video’s with almost 2 hours of training.

In this training you’ll learn the importance of a blog. Chuck recommends Wealthy Affiliate, because, they know exactly what their doing when it comes to building affiliate marketing blogs.

Step 6: YouTube Marketing

• 6 video’s with about 40 minutes of training.

The power of YouTube is amazing, and Chuck shares that in this training. He’ll disclose some resource that you can use for your YouTube video’s. Plus, he’ll share what vidoes are best for YouTube.

Step 7: Forum Marketing

• One video with 14 and half minutes of training.

Quality traffic sources are discussed in this training.

Step 8: Targeted Solo Ads

• 4 Video’s with 47 minutes of training.

This training goes over paid traffic sources that you can use to promote My Online Startup, plus additional products.

Step 9: Traffic Network

With 3 video’s and 33 minutes of training, Chuck goes over 3 traffic networks that you can use to get your offer in front of people. They are all free or low cost to join.

The traffic sources are as follows:

• Leads Ad Space
• Infinity Traffic Boost
• Leads Leap

As you can imagine My Online Startup does give you a decent amount of training to get started with the online world.

So, How Can You​ Get the Most Out Of My Online Startup?

If you decide to join here’s the game plan, so that you can get the most out of this course.

As you know, you’ll go through the training in a step by step fashion.

While you’re going through the training. Eliminate all distractions. Study in a quiet area, and immerse yourself in the training.

If you don’t understand something, ask your questions within the Facebook community or simple ask within the memberships area.

After each video you can comment or leave feedback, and one of the My Online Startup Team member’s will respond.

Asking for someone’s help when you need it the most, is the best advice I’ve ever been given. When people get stuck, they eventually get frustrated and give up.

I don’t want that to happen to you. So, when you need help, ask.

Furthermore, the pre-recorded videos can be re-winded, fast-forwarded, and paused at any time.

The most impressive part about this training is you can take notes right within the memberships area. My Online Startup is the only place that I’ve seen this feature.

Taking notes will help you learn faster and retain more information longer.

You’ll want to make sure you commit to doing whatever it takes to see your success with your online business.

Although, Chuck makes it seem like making money online is simple. It’s certainly not.

Making money online is possible, but, it does take the will, hard work, the right product, and lots of learning to see things through.

Either way, I’m rooting for you, whether it’s with this course or any other course.

Most programs promise people riches overnight, and it’s simply not true.

By the way, there’s no way to ensure anyone success.

So if any marketer tells you that they are lying.

Is My Online Startup A Scam?

Thank goodness, this course isn’t like Website Atm.

So, it’s not a scam.

However, there are a few concerns that you should be aware of. Not only based off of my opinion but from a past member too.

On top of that Chuck was the owner of Easy Earn Commissions, and Digital Elites Academy. Both companies have disappeared.

Easy Earn Commissions is now known as My Online Startup.

Why Affiliate Marketing Is The Simplest Way To Become Profitable?

In my opinion, affiliate marketing is the best business model for 2019 and beyond. Honestly it’s probably the simplest.

• You don’t have to deal with creating your own product
• You don’t have to deal with Backend support, customer support, delivery, shipping, or refunds.
• You share someone else’s product to a consumer. And get paid for it when they make a purchase.
• Your only job is to connect the customer to the product.
• Plus, affiliate marketing allows you time, freedom, and no income caps.

I don’t believe it can get any simpler than that.

Is My Online Startup Really Free To Join?

​Yes, this program is free to join but, as with any sales funnel, you’ll get hit with additional up-sells.

And I do many more. Some of the sales are quite pricey too.

Anyhow, with most businesses an up-sell is expected.

However, I must admit ​Wealthy Affiliate is the​ only company that I’ve come across ​and their premium membership is the only upgrade​.

With having said that, yes, it is 100% free to join. The only thing you need to disclose is your gmail account.

Here’s What You Need To Know About My Online Startup

​As mentioned earlier there’s 50+ training modules free.

If you choose to remain a free member, that’s fine. I don’t recommend anything beyond the free membership anyway.

From my experience, throughout the entire free training. Chuck will consistently encourage you to upgrade to the Inner Circle Mentorship Program.

I personally don’t recommend it, and here’s why.

The course for one was pricey.

Not only was it expensive but, it wasn’t even complete. I joined the program to gain access to mentorship. Plus there was exclusive training’s that Chuck promised to do that I was really interested in.

It never happened.

To make a long story short he never updated the training. Instead I was being encouraged to upgrade to a $5000 membership.

Furthermore, I sent my referral link out to a few thousand email subscribers. The funny part is my My Online Startup account never reflected that.

However, my email account proved that I did get clicks.

I, of course, contacted support. They basically told me that it must have been an end user error.

Anyhow, after experiencing confusion, frustration, and problems.

I asked for a refund. When I asked for a refund, MOS support team tried to interfere with the refund, which is understandable.

Their losing money and they want me to succeed, at least that’s what they say.

Although, they were some what nice about it. I felt pressured. They made me feel like I portrayed my family or something.

Let’s just say it wasn’t the best feeling.

At the end of the conversation, I felt so bad that I thought over what just took place.

I contacted Clickbank directly and asked for a refund instead. Clickbank refunded my money within minutes.

A month or two later Chuck sent out an email saying he finally updated the training.

I tried to log back into my account and give it a second shot.

My account was locked and still is. Plus, my affiliate links have been blocked. It’s risky to promote this program, to say the least.

I have requested several times for a password reset but, nothing has happened. Typically, with an online account, you’ll have the option to reset your password.

With My Online Startup it seems to be impossible.

Either way, this program is loaded with many ways for you to earn money but, I’m not sure how successful you’ll become.

You’ll also learn that you can’t earn money with the 50 ways unless you become a mentoring student.

What do I like About My Online Startup?

#1. Chuck Did An Great Job On The Free Training

Although, I’ve had trouble with this account. I have to be fair. Chuck did do a great job with his free training. I did learn a few things from the free training alone.

#2. It’s 100% Free Course

This course has over 50+ high-quality training videos. Chuck covers many topics within his free training, and you’ll be surprised by what value you get just by the free membership itself.

#3. You Can Earn As A Free Member

As a free member, you can share your referral link with anyone that you think is also interested in building an online business.

If your free member decides to upgrade to Chuck’s mentor program, you’ll earn a commission.

The cool part is that there are not too many programs that I know of which allows it’s free members to receive 50% commissions on a monthly level or higher.

#4. There’s A Master Mind Group

My Online Startup has a private community located on Facebook, which is good to have as a beginner. After you become a member, you can join the group.

Besides, you’re going to need the support as you go through your journey.

As you go through the training modules, you’ll have the option to leave comments at the end of each video. You’ll also notice that you’re able to reply to any other member as well.

#5. Mindset Training

Mindset training is one of the most important keys that you need to turn your business into a well-oiled machine. It’s also a step that most people skip.

I remember as an ex-member of Mobe. The first requirement was mindset training.

We had to purchase success books. Listen to positive speeches. And attend class while getting coached by a 7 figure mentor.

At first, I thought it was no point.

However, I must admit that it did make a tremendous difference. Therefore, the last thing you want to do is find yourself turning your business into a hobby or a job.

That wouldn’t be good at all.

So with the MOS mindset training, you’ll be ahead of many people with this valuable training. It’ll set you straight and help you improve with the daily struggle.

It’s something that all business owners should have when starting out because it simply works.

#6. Supportive Staff

Besides, having a minor hiccup with the refund process.

I can say My Online Startup Support Team is very helpful.

They respond almost immediately. Not only that I liked the idea of having my own personal support agent. The support agent can contacted via personal email, membership, and Facebook.

​Who Is My Online Business Not For?

This course is not for beginners who can’t invest. There are several tools that you may need to invest in.

Such as:

• The Inner Circle Mentorship
• Clickmagick
• GetResponse
• Wealthy Affiliate or Siteground hosting
• Plus, you’re encouraged to invest in additional resources along the way.

​My Final Opinion Of My Online Startup

After taking My Online Startup course for a test drive, I was excited and did upgrade.

But, if you read the review, you know how the story goes.

Chuck does know his stuff obviously. He’s successful.

Therefore, I can honestly say that the free training is excellent but, I don’t recommend anything beyond that.

It was too many setbacks, which isn’t the best experience for a beginner.

The part that confused me and it might confuse you too.

You’re encouraged to join Wealthy Affiliate. Why not go directly to Wealthy Affiliate and join. Skip all the hassle. It’s free anyhow.
