I was in your shoes two years ago wondering what the big secret was and how things worked online. The difference was; I was a complete beginner with no knowledge.
Wealthy Affiliate has taught me more than I could have imagined. I must admit though, they aren’t for everyone. They do cater to beginners, and it’s a great place to start if you’re on a budget.

The success I’ve seen with WA happens to be more than money related. For one, I would’ve never imagined building a website and helping others.
Also, today my traffic isn’t what it used to because I’ve been testing out other affiliate marketing and blogging courses, so that I can report them back on this site. But I’ve learned to drive at least 1500 visitors to my site per day using the SEO techniques that WA training teaches.
The amazing part is, I don’t guest post, or chase backlinks, and still I’m able to drive traffic to my site, and make consistent commissions. I mention this because, WA doesn’t teach about guest posting and gaining backlinks.
They teach you to do things naturally by writing content. Some bloggers will say it doesn’t work however, I can say that even without guest posting or backlinks, you can still get traffic if your keyword research is done right.
At any rate, I was scammed out of thousands of dollars before I found WA. That company was also shut down by the government, which I later learned is not nothing new. The FTC has shut down many money making companies due to them scamming people out of their hard earned money.
What I’ve learned from this is that just because a program costs more. Doesn’t mean it’s higher quality. Nor does it mean that you will achieve better results. And you certainly won’t receive fast results.
Even without the Black Friday deal WA makes starting a website business affordable for everyone. They provide hosting, a keyword tool called Jaaxy, emails, community support, and live weekly webinars. Something that I have never found anywhere else.
I’ve spent at least $1000 on affiliate marketing courses and WA is the best so far when it comes to value for your dollars. It’s not perfect, but, at the same time, after joining many other courses, they still leading.
To answer your question, WA teaches beginners how to build niche sites. They don’t recommend combining niches, unless, the topics fits together smoothly. They’ll also teach you how to make money from your niche site, which is usually applying affiliate programs, and ads to your site.
As far as building your own brand and selling your own products, it can be done using Wealthy Affiliate training, however, it’s not something taught in depth with WA. They teach you more on how to be an affiliate marketer (selling other people’s products and earning commissions doing so.)
WA is always improving on their training and services. So, teaching brand building and product creation could be something that they implement and improve upon one day. I must admit that the training in WA does teach you how to start local SEO services though.
That’s not saying members can’t be successful in branding and building their own products as a WA member, because a successful owner at human proof designs (once WA member), has proven success.
Not only that there are several 6 figure earners within WA that doesn’t even have a product created. They’ve just put in years of work and it paid off eventually.
If you’re looking for a program that teaches in depth training on how to build a successful brand, a solid foundation, create products, and sales funnels. I would recommend Dare to Conquer, created by Paul Scrivens.
Paul teaches you in depth on how to build a successful 6 figure brand. The difference between DTC and WA is, in my opinion, DTC is for people who have some knowledge of how an online business works, how to start a site, and money isn’t a factor because not only will you be responsible for the course cost, you’ll need hosting.
DTC only provides training and community support, while Wealthy Affiliate provides training, community support, hosting, business emails, and tech support for your website.
Another point I would like to make is, although there are 7 billion people online, the trick to reach those 7 billion people actually lies in driving traffic.
You must learn SEO (search engine optimization), you also must know what social media platforms to market on because they aren’t all created equal.
And, you must learn your audience and how to find keywords to target your audience. It’s not as simple as it sounds.
For example, Pinterest is great for travel, food, budgeting, beauty, and make money online niche. Plus a few others. However, it may not be great for certain skin conditions, hair loss, or auto repair.
Even after learning about SEO, social media marketing, and maybe video marketing you won’t reach the entire world, and that’s okay.
You don’t want to market to the entire world, you want to market to the people that care the most about what you have to offer.
You’ll reach your target audience by having a clear message of how you can help them and you’ll provide the answers through your content. To do this you need to learn keyword research, learn about your niche and your audience pain points.
You’ll also need to be able to write consistent content about the niche you’re interested in.
The bottom line here is there really isn’t a secret. It’s just a huge learning curve building an online business. Some people see success after writing 10 posts while others can take years.
There’s so much you have to learn, such as learning keyword research (SEO), driving traffic to the site, building a following, creating products, you’re audience, building sales funnels, writing consistent in depth articles, email marketing, and so on.
It all boils down to time, patience, a lot of work, and consistency.
Another reason, why I do recommend WA to beginners, is because their training walks you through actionable steps from beginner knowledge to getting the site up and running, and making money from it.
In my case the training worked. I saw my first $223.50 day within my first two months. It was amazing, and certainly unexpected.
