What Is YouGov Survey?

YouGov survey site is a platform that I came across after trying to join cashcrate.com. Unfortunately, cashcrate.com is closing down so; they recommended YouGov as an alternative.

I was curious about YouGov, so I joined the survey site, and this is what I discovered. First of all, YouGov has been around since May 2000, so its, been around for 19 long years. Surprisingly, I’ve never heard of them before reviewing cashcrate.com

Anyhow, YouGov conducts polls from people of all walks of life, and they come from all around the world; this includes the government to the media.

Most of the surveys that I participated in were short and straight to the point. The questions were anywhere from 20 to 30 items, and it took about 10 minutes of my time. Indeed, it didn’t take up a lot of my time but, I also didn’t earn too many points even to come close to redeeming them for a reward.

Regardless, it’s expected from a survey site because, they are not meant to help you earn a full-time income or even part-time salary. If survey sites were designed like that, I’m sure there would be a lot of people who would quit their day job and take surveys all day long.

Nonetheless, typically with YouGov survey site, you’ll answer questions regarding your everyday habits, your social life, any products or services you take part in, political views, media questions, and tv shows that you may watch.

Who Is YouGov Survey For?

YouGov is for anyone over the age of 16. I wouldn’t replace my day job to join YouGov because, after signing up to YouGov, I received one survey the first day, and then it took another 3 days before, I received another opportunity to earn more points. This will not get the bills paid.

The rewards that can be redeemed for cash that is directly deposited into your bank account, or you can redeem them for gift cards with big brands like Amazon, Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, plus many more.

Another way you can earn points is by referring friends and family. When you refer a friend or family member, you will earn points. So, how do you make points for referring others?

This is what you need to do; first, you’ll need to sign up to YouGov, then you’ll need to start sharing your unique referral link, and as soon as one of your referrals takes and or completes 4 surveys, which will also include the super simple welcome survey.

My Final Opinion Of YouGov Survey

Here’s the bottom line, with YouGov Surveys, you won’t make real money; instead, you’ll spend your time earning points for each survey that you participate in; those points that you earn can be turned into rewards.

After taking YouGov, for a test drive, I was impressed with their security features. I noticed every time I logged into my account from a different device to explore the account in further detail; I noticed that YouGov did not allow me to log in right away.

First, I had to verify myself,  by email, before you can log in to your YouGov account. So, I thought, that was impressive at least you know your information is safe. On the other hand, for some, this will be an annoyance, and for others, they will appreciate the added security, whatever the case, is YouGov.com is legit and takes your information seriously.

The only thing, I did not like about YouGov, is the emails for survey availability, will be sent to you, once they are available. Which means you could be waiting a long time to receive the next opportunity to earn points.

With that being said, points cannot be redeemed until you reach 25,000 points. So, how long will that take? I can only imagine it can take a lot longer than expected, because, the surveys are not freely available in your back offices like Swagbucks, or InboxDollars. Instead, you have to wait for YouGov to send you an opportunity.

I can admit when they do send you a survey, I’ve earned anywhere from 500 to 600 points per survey. So, if you’re lucky enough, it may not take long at all for your points to add up.

Regardless, if you’ve landed on this article because, you’re looking for real ways to earn money online, and you’re trying to get ahead financially, then I recommend that you check out my Wealthy Affiliate review. It’s legit, and after some hard work, and a little dedication, you could be writing your future checks.
