Motor Club Of America also known as “MCA”. Is it a scam or legit? The Motor Club Of America is a legit company. In fact, this is the very first online business that I started with a lack of knowledge. I say, the lack of knowledge. Because, when I first came across this opportunity, I thought it was a job. Well, at least that is how it was being advertised.

During that time, I thought I found the best work from home opportunity. So, I jumped right on board. Followed through with the instructions, so that I could start my new opportunity. After I filled out all my information. I was told to leave my name and number and someone would be in touch.

Indeed, they were in touch I later learned that the person who initially called me was my sponsor. My sponsor coached me through our initial call and explained the MCA opportunity as if it was some sort of sales job. Anyways, to make a long story short. I signed up and quickly realized that the opportunity I signed up for was indeed not a job. But, an opportunity to make money online an independent associate.

MCA Is A Home Based Business Opportunity

Nonetheless, I was intrigued by the thought of being able to make money from home and at the same time, it would be an online opportunity. My initial thoughts were there are billions of people online. Surely, I could make a ton of money really quick. Wrong. Wrong. And Wrong. Again.

Making money online is definitely not a get rich scheme. No matter what opportunity you choose to go with. They will all take work. Any opportunity that does not require work may not last very long.

More importantly, internet marketing is not a skill that is learned overnight. Of course, it can be learned by trial and error. Or by some sort of training course. However, who is to say you are learning that right and most updated techniques. To get your MCA product in front of people you will need to learn all about internet marketing. Unless you decide to do offline marketing.

Some MCA Sponsor Commit To Marketing Hype

My sponsor at MCA stated that it was easy to make money online with this system. Oh boy, did he sell me some woof tickets? The man was good at charming his team. As well as the MCA system.

Despite all of that, there is nothing wrong with defending or cheerleading for your business. You should, you worked hard for it. On the other hand, it is wrong to cheerlead for a lie.

In other words, he did a lot of marketing hype to get me into the system. He told me it was a sales job. It clearly was not and the price I was paying for, was to get me licensed to sell the product in my state. That was half the truth. It was not a job. On the other hand, I did have to get licensed to sell the product.

I mean, he was a good salesman because I signed up with him. And, I am sure many others did too. Anyhow, after joining the system I never heard from my sponsor again. In fact, I never even knew or understood that he was my sponsor until weeks down the road. So, in this review, you will find out what MCA is? And is it for you?

What Is Motor Club Of America?

Have you ever broken down in the most awkward places? Well, if you haven’t. I have and it is the most annoying thing in history. Motor Club of America also known as MCA for short has been around since 1926. Currently, the owner of MCA is Virgil Coffee.

More importantly, whenever you’re on the road and need some kind of roadside assistance. MCA is and will be your friend on the open road. Considering that they provide travel security and roadside assistance for families and people. What is more of a better opportunity than this, right?

Above all, they have expanded their offerings to simplify more aspects of people’s lives. To include free legal representation, medical benefits, travel discounts, bail bonds help, AD&D, plus accident protection.

With this being said, the Motor Club of America benefits side is excellent. Often they get compared to AAA services. With this in mind, I have personally used MCA benefits and they do work. However, is the online business opportunity the same?

MCA Online Business Opportunity

To become an associate with MCA it is FREE. There is no cost to sign up. However, please be aware there are many MCA associates that will tell you otherwise. Basically, they will make it seem like you can not sell any of the memberships without purchasing a membership yourself. Which is false. You can still earn commission without having to pay for a personal membership. As a matter of a fact listen to Virgil Coffee the owner of TVC marketing, tell you himself.

Indeed, Virgil Coffee said it well. However, I have known someone personally, that never received her check from TVC because she was recruiting others without paying for a monthly membership. In fact, she was trying to receive a commission first. So that should come back and make her monthly membership payments.

In the case, you have a sponsor advising you that you must purchase benefits. I believe that the conflict comes in place. Because there have been members in the past who commissions were never released due to being a free associate. And, your sponsor may want you to know about the product you are selling. Or they may just want to make a commission off of you. Regardless of the case, this is an MLM and your sponsor can not get paid on different levels unless their recruits make progress. Needless, to say you do not have to be a paid associate in order to promote MCA.

Anyhow, before signing up to MCA, it’s important to know that some states require you to sell products or services. So, TVC Marketing will request a state fee from you. After you have signed in to your account before you can move forward.

This state fee is not paid physically to TVC Marketing. The state fee goes to your local state office. Your state will then review your application. And TVC marketing will notify you within a few days. Once you are notified by TVC marketing. They will let you know if everything was cleared. In most cases, you should see a green check mark appear in your MCA back office.

How Does MCA Work?

You’ll earn commissions by promoting the MCA roadside assistance monthly plans. Once you sell one of the three packages to a friend or third party. Consequently, you will receive commissions. The person or people that you recently recruited. Must then go out and complete the same steps. So, in short, it’s an MLM opportunity.

In either event, you do not earn commissions, if you recruit someone and they just sign up as an associate and does not pay for a membership. The whole idea behind this opportunity is to sell memberships and encourage others to become affiliates. At the same time, those people you just encouraged to sign up as an associate or an affiliate. They in return need to go out and sign up others.

MCA Training For Affiliates

After signing up, and the state has approved your licensing fee if required. Then you are ready to start recruiting and building a team. The key to building a strong team is to be a leader. According to TVC Marketing, a team will always follow their leader.

However, if you do not properly train your down line. Then your whole organization can fail. The concept of MLM is to not only recruit people but, you must train your down line as well. Without proper team training. Some people on your team can quit or get lost in the process. Which causes people to quit or give up. You know as the same teamwork makes the dream work.

More importantly, in addition to this, there is no marketing training. You’ll need marketing training in order to even get your offer in front of people. Of course, you can always learn by trial and error, or by watching free YouTube videos. Another option is to purchase training from other Sponsors. I mean just look at what TVC marketing had to say for themselves.

Support For MCA Associates

MCA has great support when you need help as an Associate. They can be contacted by phone or chat support. Me personally, I did not like calling by phone because it was always a long wait. I normally used the chat support which worked wonders when you are trying to work and figure things out. Their chat support responds immediately and they will help you to the best of their ability.

How Would You Build An Organization With MCA?

Your MCA organization will consist of the people you recruited. The people, that your people recruited and so on up to 5 levels. So, where would you find these people? Here are some ideas that TVC Marketing suggest.

Postcards and Business cards can be made as well. As long as MCA brand logo is nowhere on the card and you follow TVC marketing approved marketing guidelines.

If you have an email list you can send emails inviting people on your list to MCA. Encouraging them to protect their family with roadside assistance.

Ask anyone that you come across if they would like to join

Send out a message on your social media accounts advising them to message you privately

Here Is A Suggestion

I understand that TVC marketing will provide your own landing page. Social marketing tools and weekly commissions. However, it will not be enough to get you started as a newbie online. In this case, you can start a blog or purchase your own personally owned domain name. Even TVC marketing themselves have their own blog. I wonder why they do not encourage their associates to do the same.

Who Is MCA FOR?

Motor Club of America is for anyone over the age of 18. Can you provide a Tax Id? Or do you have access to a bank account? You’ll be paid via direct deposit. Provided that you legally live in the United States or Canada.

On the other hand, I would not recommend MCA to you if you do not have any type of internet marketing experience. Because you will need it with this type of online business.

Can You Make Money With MCA?

Yes, you can make money with this product. You must be confident and not afraid to approach people. MCA business opportunity is an opportunity that requires you to be very outgoing.

The problem is with MCA product, most people will not outright buy the product.

TVC marketing does not publicly advertise their products. So, when you approach random people they have no idea what you’re talking about. Unless they have been approached before in the past.

The affiliate of MCA does all the advertising for them. And because of this most people do not know about Motor Club of America.

In addition to this MCA monthly memberships cost more than AAA which is another company that offers near the same benefits. Except AAA advertises publicly and some of MCA benefits are better, while some of AAA benefits lead the way. So many people know about AAA before they know about MCA and they tend to try to compare the two.

What Does MCA Pay In Commissions?

As stated earlier, you would be paid every Friday and if you qualify for reward commissions that are paid on the 15th of every month. Providing that you made a sale of $10 or more and there aren’t any chargebacks in your back office account.

A chargeback is when someone signed up underneath you and then decided to cancel their membership within 30 days.

According to TVC marketing, the chargebacks cannot exceed 50% of your week’s commissions.

Despite that, you will be able to get paid on 5 levels deep with TVC marketing. With that being said, it is important for you to go over the TVC marketing material to learn how to qualify for all 5 levels.

Once you sold a membership you will be paid $35.00, as long as the payment method was set up on recurring status. In other words, the payment must be set up to be drafted monthly. On the other hand, if the payment was not set up on a monthly draft then you will be paid $9.24 instead.

Can You Change Sponsors?

The information that TVC marketing gives, is kind of conflicting. According to TVC marketing, the general URL to change your sponsor is:

The sponsor must be inactive for 90 days
Or the sponsor must have acted unethically. (to have this considered you must send evidence and they will review it.)

On the other hand, here is the conflicting information. As you know I was an affiliate of MCA. My sponsor went MIA and I stuck it out for like 4 months. I did everything I could like purchasing more training materials. Joined different MCA Facebook groups to gain more knowledge. Watched countless hours of YouTube and nothing worked.

So, I sent a nice letter to TVC marketing a very detailed letter, asking to change my sponsor. It took them almost an entire month to respond to me. When they did respond. Their exact response was. They were sorry that this has happened to me. However, we are not able to change your sponsor.

Nonetheless, this is why I suggest you join the right team or sponsor. Please do your due diligence and research, if you decide to join MCA.

My Final Opinion

MCA is a legit company. I believe MCA would be a great opportunity. If you were to join the right team or sponsor. In order to do this, you would have to watch or research MCA training YouTube videos.

Go through quite a few so you can get a feel of who you want to work with. When watching YouTube videos see if they provide additional training. Because you will need marketing training in order to make this business work.

You may also you to have invested in a business phone. Especially, if you decide to, market postcards or business cards. In this case, I would suggest that you have a separate business phone line. Unless you don’t mind people calling your personal phone.

Above all, another suggestion to make this MCA thing work. Once you have received proper marketing training is I would suggest you start a blog. Especially if you are serious and want to make MCA a long term business.

When you learn SEO techniques. A blog will drive free traffic to your business. Even though, it won’t drive traffic right away. As long as you implement the right SEO techniques. Over time, you will get consistent traffic. Imagine being ranked on page one within Google, Bing, Or Yahoo search engines. People could see your business at all times as long as you hold the number one spot.

This could be you on the front page of Google. The only difference is these associates are not marketing any other product other than MCA. They also have no control over what goes on their website. Get ahead of the game and start a blog. Keep in mind that you still will need internet and affiliate marketing training. To make this work.

Why The Free Website Is Not Always The Best

On the other hand, the free landing page and website that MCA is offering you when you sign up. That will never rank into the search engines and drive free traffic. You have no control over that site, because, you did not create it yourself. Meaning, you will not be able to make major changes to the site. Nor will you ever be able to drive free traffic by SEO.

With this in mind, there are not too many MCA associates that have their own hosted website/blog. A blog could give you an advantage. In addition to this, a blog will also allow you to expand your income streams. Through other methods such as affiliate marketing. More importantly, you never want to have just one income stream.

What Can You Do With An MCA Blog

Here is an example of what you could do with your blog. You can add reviews about MCA. Talk about the products. What are the benefits? And so on. If you were to sign up to Amazon associates program or eBay. You can then implement other products on your blog such as maybe jumper cables, a jack, or any other automotive products. Why Do I Recommend More Than One Income Stream

Considering that MCA recently dropped their commissions drastically. I would never suggest that you have one income stream. When I was involved with MCA. The commission payouts were $80 a sign-up.

Now, the commission payout is $35.00, only if there is a monthly recurring payment setup. Consequently, MCA and its affiliates lost a lot of money. MCA and its affiliates also lost a mass amount of team members.

I know of many members that were making 6 figures a year and it was gone overnight. This is why I highly suggest starting a blog, your own platform. No one can ever take that away from you. Unless, of course, you start doing illegal things with it. A blog is online real estate that can eventually pay you over and over again.

The Bottom Line

Yes, I would recommend MCA. However, everyone is not into recruiting people so, If MLM or MCA is not for you, there are other legit ways to earn an income online. For me, MLM is not my thing. I learned to make money online. As well as build my own business online, which has been the best opportunity, thus far.
