This post includes affiliate links to products I truly recommend and trust, meaning at no extra cost to you, I may earn a small percentage, which I will use to support my blogging habits.
There are many apps out there that claim you can get paid from doing a certain task. I myself have used several apps on my smartphone, which rewarded me in some sort of way. From my personal experience, none of the apps I have used gave me the possibility of making a part-time income. However, I did make enough money to purchase a few things.
When I came across the AppCoiner, I was curious just like most of you reading this post. Curious to know how this app really worked. After joining their email list and opting into the sign-up option, as a member I was taken to a sales page that Congratulated me and advised me that I have reserved an AppCoiner Membership. So, far so good, right?
I proceed to activate my membership and then was immediately asked to pay $27.00. Right from the beginning, I knew this was a red flag. Why would I have to pay to review other developers apps?
I Declined The Offer.
After declining the offer I was then offered a discount of a very low price of $17.00. Now, I was really skeptical about proceeding. And, here is why.
Whenever you’re offered one price and you decide to decline. Then the company comes back to offer another pricing, usually, this means that the business is really trying to entice you into joining their opportunity. Not, always is it a sign that the opportunity will be useless but, most of the time it can set off alarms.
What Did I Do?
As you already know, I didn’t buy into the program. Instead, I decided to do an intense investigation to see what was really going on. And, here is what I found. I found that the program is not a scam, it is a legit company. I have to admit Appcoiner is a bit misleading, though. Anyhow, you can actually make money with this program but, there’s a catch. Although, Appcoiner makes it seem Oh! so, easy to just write as many reviews as you can and earn money. It’s not as easy as the sales page makes it seem.
With that being said, with Appcoiner, you’ll have to write reviews about products and apps. Moreover, writing a review is not as easy as it sounds. It does take practice, time, patience and, apparently, this is nothing that will be covered in detail. In other words, there’s no detailed training for you within Appcoiner. In addition to this, with Appcoiner, you’re expected to write detailed reviews that are at least 350 words minimum. (per review)
To earn a commission on any product with AppCoiner, you’ll need to get signups and sales after someone has downloaded the app that you just wrote a review on. Moreover, Writing a review about products and apps can be helpful to your audience because it allows your visitors, to make a more informed decision. It’s basically the same concept of what I do. I write reviews about products, and from there you’re able to make your own decisions.
The difference is the way that AppCoiner teaches its members can be kind of difficult. After signing up as a member you’ll receive a pre-made website. With the pre-made website, you’ll be able to write your reviews about the apps and drive traffic to that website. If or when someone signs up to your email list, clicks on your ads or downloads an app that you have reviewed, you’ll get paid. Easy, right? Wrong, it is not that easy.
Some Things I Noticed That You’ll Have To Learn. This Is Not Shared Within The AppCoiner Members Area:
- Driving traffic to your website
- Keyword research
- Getting ranked on Google or any search engine
- You’ll need to learn how to build an email list
- How to properly write a review
- Important to know the difference between a pre-made site and a registered domain site
3 Steps That You’ll Learn Within The Membership Area:
Step 1: You’ll be shown how to set up a ClickBank account. ClickBank is an affiliate network. An affiliate network, in a nutshell, is a network that houses many products that you can promote and earn commissions from if someone was to click on your affiliate unique link and make a purchase of the product you are promoting.
Step 2: Log into your new WordPress, you’ll be taught how to create and publish your first product review but, first you’ll have to test the app out yourself. Then write the product review based on what you learned during the testing of the app. Anyhow, when writing a review in order for it to be published it has to be a thorough review and at least 350 words. It can’t be short and sweet.
Step 3: It’ll show you how you’ll make money with the program. And these are the ways:
- someone buys the app that you review
- Banner ads – someone clicks on your banner ad and they purchase a product through your banner ad.
- Your email list- if you build an email list, you’ll to be able to promote products to your email list
Good and Valuable:
- Product reviews can teach you what to avoid and what to dive into
- Product Reviews can be profitable, but only if done the right way
- You can actually make money with this program
- It really isn’t a scam
Bad and Ugly:
- The cost is low but, only because Appcoiner dropped it after we tried to exit the site.
- If you’re new online you may learn a thing or two but, nothing can be learned in this program that will help you succeed.
- There were upsells and down sells.
- The sales page makes it seem like all you have to do is download an app and give a review. That’s not true. (it’s misleading)
- You’ll actually need to put work in by providing reviews
- Google prefers registered domains names and not pre-made site domains
- Pre-made sites may not get ranked into Google so, you’ll need to learn to drive traffic
- I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone new to online, this may not be the best place to start.
- All you need to know about succeeding online is not provided in the AppCoiner members area
Who Is AppCoiner For?
AppCoiner is not suggested for everyone. Actually, I do not recommend this route at all. Keep in my mind that you will not receive a full-time income just by reviewing and testing apps on your mobile phone or tablet. In order to make this system work, you need to know and understand product reviews, plus you’ll need to know how to drive traffic to your website.
AppCoiner Tools & Training
There is no solid training and the only tools that you are provided with is the pre-made website.
The only support that I could find was by submitting a helpdesk ticket. Who knows how long that will take to get a response. I also noticed on the sales page that you can leave a message and someone will get back to you.
There were upsells and down sells. The original pricing was $47. However, it appeared as the $47 was discounted because the $47 was all ready crossed out when I arrived on the sales page but, was it really discounted?
No! It was not discounted at all. If you read the sales page carefully somewhere down the middle of the page it will say something along the lines of United States app testers is in high demand so we can offer you a $20 discount. After I declined their so-called $20 discount, a $17 offer was presented. I declined that as well.
My Final Opinion Of AppCoiner
AppCoiner appears to be a legit company however, I do not recommend anyone to try this out, especially, if you’re new online. If you’re not new to the online space, I wouldn’t recommend this AppCoiner to you, either because, it’s best to have your own registered domain so, that you can build up domain authority.
Writing product reviews can be beneficial, it’s actually the same thing as I do, except my site was not premade. I had to build out my site and I had to learn affiliate marketing. In fact, I learned it through a company called “Wealthy Affiliate”. Anyhow, although, it may seem easy to just jump on the internet and make money in the blink of an eye. I am here to tell you it doesn’t work that way.
From my personal experience, pre-made sites are hard to get ranked into Google. Heck, they may never get ranked into google. Why? Because you’re not the one who built the site. You do not know what keywords were used, nor did you pay a company to design the site so that it could be SEO optimized. In fact, you wouldn’t have a clue as to what possibilities the site will bring you. Especially, when you didn’t build the site yourself. It could be a total success and on the other hand, it could be a total flop.
I have had several pre-made sites for a year, of course not the one you’re currently viewing but, another site that was pre-made and it gets no traffic. Nor, can anyone see the site. It just sits there hopelessly. That brings me to this as well. In order for someone to see your site on the internet, you’ll also need hosting, unless you are going to consistently promote your site on social media or wherever.
Truth be told, it takes some time and hard work to get a site ranked into Google. There are actually some skilled steps that you must to take so, that people can actually see what you have to offer. You’ll need to learn how to research for keywords and how to use them. You’ll have to learn how to Build domain authority and write proper quality content. Furthermore, you’ll also need to learn how to link the product to your review. If you have some SEO training, then this program could work for you. Although, anyone with SEO training probably wouldn’t want a pre-made site.
Anyhow, if you would like like to learn the proper way to build a product review site that can actually be seen by the public and potentially make you money, check this out for my # 1 recommendation. I would encourage you to read the review. In short, you will be able to build a site just like the Appcoiner concept with my #1 recommendation. You’ll learn everything you need to know about creating a profitable product review website and it is free to get started.
